Antwerp diamonds to add sparkle to Belgian pavilion at Shanghai Expo

The Belgian Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, which begins on May 1, will shine even more brightly thanks to the Diamond Exhibition Corner where diamonds will represent Belgium alongside two other world-renown Belgian products, beer and chocolate. The Shanghai World Expo is set to be the largest in history, with more than 230 countries participating and an estimated 80 million visitors expected to visit during its six-month duration.

In a further indication of the growing importance of the Chinese market, more than 50 Antwerp diamond companies will be exhibiting inthe Antwerp Diamond Pavilion at the March 5-9 Hong Kong International Show.

Website gives access to Belgian exhibitors in Hong Kong

In a special initiative aimed at giving diamond buyers from around the world direct access to Antwerp diamond companies, the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has launched a dedicated website featuring information about Belgian exhibitors at next month's Hong Kong International Show.

AWDC announces winner of Valentine's Day writing contest

The AWDC has announced the winner of its Valentine's Day Confessions of the Heart writing competition. Winner Hilde Pinnoo won a heart-shaped diamond with a poem entitled Inuit.
