AWDC board names Jacky Roth as its ‘Honorary President’

The board of directors of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has paid tribute to its former president Jacky Roth by naming him as its “Honorary President.” Mr. Roth stepped down as AWDC president in June, after serving four years in the position.

Nishit Parikh elected AWDC President by organisation’s Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre has elected Nishit Parikh to serve as AWDC President for the coming two years. Mr. Parikh will be the first person of Indian origin to stand at the head of the Antwerp diamond sector’s primary representative organisation.

Antwerp hosts first WJCEF Executive Course in Corporate Social Responsibility

The World Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation (WJCEF), a body established by CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, in coordination with the United Nations, to instil the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility in the international jewellery industry and trade, has inaugurated its first ever Executive Course in Antwerp. The three-day course, which kicked off on June 20, emphasises the connection between CSR and the promotion of sustainable economic, social and environmental activity in countries in which the jewellery and gemstones industries are active.
