For rough diamond shipments consisting of diamonds of different origins, the amount per origin is listed on a separate line on the invoice that the importer receives from Diamond Office (this is not new information).
What is new as of 1 December 2025 is that, if the presence of goods of different origins in a single shipment results in additional invoice lines and those lines each individually do not exceed €100,000 (or €200,000 for a “return shipment”), only one €40 fee per shipment will be charged (and not per line, as was previously the case).
In addition, the fee structure for high-value shipments was adjusted: the threshold was lowered to EUR 5 million, and the base fee for shipments at or above this value was reduced to 0.015% of the value of the goods. As a result, as of 1 December 2025, a more favorable service fee applies to companies importing or exporting large or high-value shipments.
