Security Office: AMOK Active Killer Briefing

"AMOK-Active Killers" refers to incidents like the terrorist attacks in Paris and the Jewish Museum in Brussels, the foiled attacks in Verviers, the failed attack on the Thalys, etc.

"AMOK-Active Killers" are part of 'the new normal'. From a criminal as well as a terrorist perspective, "AMOK-Active Killer" situations form a potential threat to companies in the public and private sector.

AWDC Security Office will start a new monthly briefing in 2016: the AMOK Briefing. The following items will be discussed:

- AMOK: definition and history
- National and international examples
- Perpetrator profile
- Modus Operandi
- Security measures

The next briefing is scheduled on Thursday 24 March 2016 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the ‘Oppenheimer’ Conference Room in the AWDC building on level -1.

Registration is based on the 'first come, first served’ principle and up to 10 people can participate. This briefing is free of charge, but anyone unable to attend and failing to notify us prior to the start of the briefing, may be charged a cancellation fee of 50 euro (excl. taxes).
