Eva Verstraelen, Economic Representative - Guangzhou, Flanders Investment & Trade
After having served for more than 20 years at many Belgian embassies and consulates worldwide as a diplomat for the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eva Verstraelen has joined Flanders Investment & Trade in 2020 and started as Economic Representative of Flanders in Guangzhou in July that same year. Together with her colleagues in the FIT offices in Beijing and Shanghai, she supports Flemish companies who wish to access the Chinese market and also guides Chinese companies looking to invest in Flanders.
She holds degrees in language interpretation, international relations and journalism, and was also living and working in Beijing from 2006 to 2010, where she first started learning Chinese.
