36th World Diamond Congress - Closing Press Conference

From 15 until 18 June 2014, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), with 28 diamond bourses as members, is holding its 36th World Diamond Congress, the annual meeting of the federation, in the city of Antwerp.

During this annual gathering, more than 200 delegates from across the world, that is, the 28 diamond bourse members, 2 candidate members and delegations from African diamond-producing countries as well as other stakeholders from the global diamond industry, will discuss various current issues. Topics on the agenda include the necessity of transparent and viable financing to spur the worldwide diamond trade, the development of a generic marketing campaign for diamonds, through the Federation’s World Diamond Mark initiative and questions surrounding synthetic diamonds.
