Invest in loyal and trustworthy employees

A survey by Robert Half has shown that out of 200 companies, 66% makes a financial counter-offer when an employee announces he wishes to leave the company. The offer is often made out of fear that continuity would be negatively affected, which could have a direct or indirect impact on operating results.

However, more is needed than a raise to keep employees happy. An open company culture with room for recognition and appreciation is very important. The possibility of additional training and personal development along with flexible working hours are also important to offer your employees, and will result in increased loyalty.
