The world’s most expensive diamond

With 101.29 carats and "Fancy Vivid Yellow" colour, the Allnatt cushion cut diamond is the world’s most expensive diamond. This stone is valued at $ 3 million and is named after the first owner: Alfred Ernest Allnatt, a British Major.

The diamond was probably mined in the "The Beers Premier Diamond Mine 'in South Africa around 1950.

Commissioned by Allnatt, Cartier designed a flower with five diamonds-studded petals and two leaves on the stem.
