On May 23rd, AWDC launched its new service Antwerp Diamond Jobs, a tool that centralizes job postings in the Antwerp diamond sector in one single platform. AD Jobs enables the Antwerp diamond companies to post their job openings online and connect more easily and efficiently with candidates interested to work in the sector. In addition, job seekers can create and manage their profile online.
On Tuesday July 6th, Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Reynders visited the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).
The program included a visit to Diamond Office, the Antwerp diamond import and export body, the Antwerp Diamond Tender Facility, a walking lunch with various Antwerp diamond companies and an informal meeting with AWDC's CEO, Ari Epstein and AWDC President, Stéphane Fischler.
The working visit underscores the important role of the Antwerp diamond industry in regard to Belgium's foreign trade.
We would like to inform you that AWDC has decided to cancel the Antwerp Diamond Pavilion at the Vicenza fairs in 2014.
In 2014, a new ‘Antwerp Diamond Pavilion’ will be organized at the Jewellery & Gem Fair – Europe in Freiburg. The fair takes place at the exposition halls of Freiburg from July 1st till July 4th and is organized by UBM Asia.
The Chair of the Kimberley Process (KP), His Excellency Mr. Ambassador Welile Nhlapo, visited Antwerp on Thursday, July 12th. The Ambassador had a meeting with the AWDC Senior Management and the focal point for the Administrative Support Mechanisme (ASM) of the KP. The visit included a short Meet & Greet between the Ambassador and a delegation of Antwerp diamond companies.
It is with great pleasure that Mr. Stéphane Fischler, President of the AWDC, and Mr. Ari Epstein, CEO of the AWDC, invite you to a walking lunch in honor of the visit to the Antwerp diamond sector of Mr. Reynders, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs on July 16 2013, between 1 and 2u30 pm. The lunch will take place in the AWDC Lounge, at the 9th floor, at Hoveniersstraat 22, 2018 Antwerp.
AWDC has set up a national mediacampaign to promote the launch of Antwerp Diamond Jobs (AD Jobs) to the general audience.
