Standing Committee

The Standing Committee plays a key role behind the scenes at AWDC, contributing to decisions regarding the structure, statues, budget and direction of AWDC. The following organizations have a representative member:

  • “Antwerpsche Diamantkring”, cooperative association with limited liability (register of legal entities Antwerp 0404.697.559);
  • “Beurs voor Diamanthandel”, cooperative association with limited liability (register of legal entities Antwerp 0404.686.176);
  • “Diamantclub van Antwerpen”, cooperative association with limited liability (register of legal entities Antwerp 0404.697.361);
  • “Vrije Diamanthandel”, limited company (register of legal entities Antwerp 0404.697.460);
  • “Federatie der Belgische Diamantbeurzen”, non-profit association (register of legal entities Antwerp 0414.079.934);
  • “Groepering der Industriediamantfirma’s in België”;
  • “Vereniging van Handelaars in Ruwe Diamant”;
  • “Belgische Vereniging van Handelaars, In- en Uitvoerders van Geslepen Diamant”;
  • “Syndikaat der Belgische Diamantnijverheid”;
  • “Vereniging van Kempische Diamantwerkgevers”;
  • “Gilde van Diamant en Edelstenen, Antwerpen 1582” non-profit association (register of legal entities Antwerp 0424.374.109); and
  • “ACV-TRANSCOM”.

Each of these members appoints one permanent representative and one substitute representative with a view to their representation at the meetings of the Standing Committee. The members elect a chairman.
