On May 25th, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be enforced. This EU regulation was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy. 

It has implications for all businesses processing personal data, including diamond traders. To help diamond traders in their compliance with this regulatory framework, the AWDC AML & Compliance Helpdesk has made an extensive Q&A tailored to the diamond sector. A Dutch version of this Q&A is now available as well.
