GDPR

On May 25th, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be enforced. This EU regulation was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.

It has implications for all businesses processing personal data, including diamond traders. To help diamond traders in their compliance with this regulatory framework, the AWDC AML & Compliance Helpdesk has made an extensive Q&A tailored to the diamond sector. A Dutch version of this Q&A is now available as well. This Q&A will address your questions relating to GDPR and give you guidance in what is expected from you to comply with the GDPR regulation.

The AML & Compliance Helpdesk has also drafted templates for you to use and adopt these in your business, as to allow you to have all required documentation and measures in place to be compliant with the GDPR.
